Protected Area Permit (PAP)

All visitors traveling to Lachen and other parts of North Sikkim require the necessary travel permits. Guests should carry valid government-issued identification documents throughout their journey.

Freshly prepared home-cooked meals are available at the homestay. Since supplies are transported from lower regions, we encourage guests to inform us in advance about any dietary preferences or special meal requirements.

Lachen is situated at an altitude of approximately 9,000 feet, while many nearby attractions such as Gurudongmar Lake are located at much higher elevations. Some travelers may experience mild altitude-related discomfort, including headaches or shortness of breath. Staying hydrated and avoiding overexertion can help with acclimatization.
